Travel Photography, Off The Grid & Ultra-Light with Erik Allin
201 California St.
San Francisco, California 94111
About/Bio: Erik worked at Canon USA for 16 years as a Senior Professional Marketing Specialist, Product Training Manager, and as a Technical Marketing Manager. He also worked several years in research and product development where the results of his efforts can be seen in the design and functionality of recent generations of the EOS 5D and 1D series models, EF Lenses, and the Cinema EOS lineup.
In addition to providing Canon professional support at several Super Bowls, World Cup Soccer, and Olympic games in Sydney, Torino, and Salt Lake City, he has both lead and supported photo workshops in some of the most picturesque destinations around the US. He has also lectured at Rocky Mountain School of Photography, the Lepp Institute of Photography, and Santa Fe Workshops, to name a few.
Since leaving Canon he has been spending much of his time backpacking some of the most beautiful trails, camera in hand. His boots have carried him to New Zealand, Thailand, the Great Smoky Mountains, Northern California, the Pacific Northwest, and his latest adventure section hiking the Pacific Crest Trail.
