EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Nicole Wilder is a unit still photographer and a member of the Cinematographer's Guild (I.A.T.S.E. 600) currently based in Los Angeles, California. Before becoming a unit photographer, Nicole started off in the film and tv industry working in production and post-production on "Devil's Advocate", "Titanic" (working nine months in post-production on the film and three of those months at SkyWalker Sound in northern California finishing final sound and editing on the film), and "There's Something About Mary" beginning as a production assistant/ assistant to producers and eventually working my way up to become a production supervisor for scripted programming and a unit production manager on documentaries. Tonight Nicole is going to discuss how she became a unit still photographer on set including requirements from the Cinematographers union, expectations and requirements from photo producers and editors and navigating on set issues, politics and set etiquette while capturing the best photo possible.
