If you ever wanted to photograph New Orleans, this is the workshop to do it. The Big Easy celebrates its tricentennial this year, and the whole city is in the middle of a celebration that took 300 years to make.
The city and celebration create the perfect backdrop for a Canon workshop designed to help you learn travel editorial and portrait photography. You will have the opportunity to photograph the best of New Orleans.
We will capture the city’s most recognizable landmarks, as well as unique locations known to the locals. Join Canon Live Learning in the Big Easy for a weekend travel and portraits workshop. We celebrate the unique culture, music, and history that is New Orleans.
Photograph a Second Line Brass Band. We start the workshop in true New Orleans fashion - we throw you a parade. You will capture the energy, music, and dance of our own Second Line Brass Band as we follow them through the streets of the French Quarter.
Oak Alley Plantation for a stylized shoot with models - We will give you the opportunity to create your own stylized shoots of models in one of New Orleans most iconic locations — the canopy of Oak Trees at Oak Alley Plantation Home.
Honey Island Swamp tour with portraits - You can’t truly experience New Orleans without a trip out on the Bayou, so we take you on a private tour and photo shoot of Honey Island Swamps.
French Quarter architecture and portraits - The crown jewel of the Crescent City is the French Quarter, so we will capture the architecture and history in its storied streets.
Jackson Square street life and performers - The people truly bring the city to life with the constant serenade of street musicians and entertainment from talented performers. You can find a story unfolding in just about every block.
